Touching on the theme of second chances in “Hello, Love, Again,” Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards were asked to give their honest thoughts on second chances, with the onscreen tandem having different opinions on the matter.
Bernardo and Richards were asked if they believe in second chances during the press conference for their upcoming film, which started with the Kapuso actor drawing laughs for his initial response.

The actor then pointed out that some “people make mistakes over and over again,” but it depends on the person whether they would forgive and forget, or do the latter.

People make mistakes over and over again,” he said. “Sometimes, hindi natin maiiwasan na gumawa ng mga bagay na ikakasama ng ibang tao. At the same time, at the end of the day, you forgive and forget. But sometimes, you forgive and move on. But you never forget.”

“Makakadisappoint ako ng tao whether it’s intentional or unintentional. Given ‘yun (I can disappoint someone whether it’s intentional or unintentional. It’s a given),” she said. “Personally, I’d do anything to be given that second chance again and that opportunity to correct my wrongdoings, rebuild relationships, and regain trust, all these things, part ‘yun ng forgiveness.”

Some can give multiple chances. Some won’t. And that’s okay.”
“And we have to respect that kasi iba-iba namang tayong tao so depende talaga siya sa sitwasyon,” she continued. “For me, lagi kong iniisip na forgiveness or second chances isn’t an obligation. It’s a choice and it’s a gift. So kapag binigay ‘yun sa iyo ng tao, it’s a privilege. And just like any gift, you have to take care of it. You have to earn that gift.”

Bernardo and Richards are the lead stars of “Hello, Love, Again,” which revolves around Joy and Ethan in Canada, picking up where they left off. However, the trailer shows the end of their relationship, with Ethan determined to win Joy back.
The film also stars Joross Gamboasolowin, Jennica Garcia, Valerie Concepcion, Kevin Kreider, and Kakai Bautista.
